We saw something similar during the "Divided We Fall" story arc where the entire JLA was split into their superhero and civilian identities. The Clark Kent-less Superman again went full Kryptonian and started acting like a public servant with no attachment to those he served. 3/4

And just to round things out, in "Kingdom Come", Joker murdering the Daily Planet staff (including Lois Lane) combined with humanity's rejection of his code of ethics massively screwed with his moral compass and his instinctual knowledge of right and wrong became skewed. 4/4
