44. Emma - Kaoru Mori. (about historical Victorian romance in 🇬🇧between maid and gentry) Who is famous for “Bride’s Story” yet I feel that many stopped reading after first few vol got popular. It’s still going and it’s super goood ! Amazing line works and the dedications to it.
43. Tsuredure Children - Toshiya Wakabayashi. Get ready for cuteness overload. 4 panel comic about bunch of different couples. There are so many of them, you cannot help yourself from loving them all. The anime is on Crinchyroll so you need some sweet and sour moment, this is it!
42. Family Complex - Mikiyo Tsuda. Which leads to “The Day of Revolution”, then to her famous “Princess Princess” series. I was so shocked when I realized all of these stories connected! Slice of life of trans,🏳️🌈, good looking family and their weird all boys school tradition 👀
41. Shiota Sensei and Amai Chan - Kumiko Nakatoka. About a girl who puts her heart into expressing her love for her sensei, who slowly begins to accept her. Sweet, fluffy and relaxing read. Been fan of her work since it was on pixiv and I’m happy that it’s actual comic book now✨
40. Here is Greenwood - Yukie Nasu. Story revolves around the activities of 4 boys in Greenwood Dormitory in all boys private school. One of my favorite classic boys school comedy comic 🥰 It’s hard to not love all these cutie silly boys with their pretty senpais you know ...
39. Mousou Telepathy - NOBEL. About a high school girl who can look into people's minds ( secretly ) but because of that, she finds out that the mind of the popular boy is full of wild fantasies about her. Slice of life comedy with slow burn romance of these hs students 👀
38. Sweet Blue Flowers / Wandering Son- Takako Shimura🏳️🌈 I admire all of her works (including her short stories like “Cute Devil”, “Happy Go Lucky Days” and her yaoi series) and her line drawing, it’s just so pretty and pleasing. I also love how she connects story with one other.
37. BEASTARS - Paru Itagaki. The story takes place in a world of modern, civilized, anthropomorphic animals with a cultural divide between carnivores and herbivores. Manga has way more content than anime, so check it out if you haven’t. I can’t believe it ended so soon I’m sad😭
36. The Blue Period - Tsubasa Yamaguchi. It’s pretty popular in 🇯🇵but I haven’t heard much over here. About boy finding true joy of drawing after he was bored with life, now challenging himself to get into Tokyo Art University- the most difficult art college to get into in Japan.
34. Anonymous Noise - Ryoko Fukuyama. Through music, boys and girls try to mend their friendship and overcome all the feelings involved in their complicated love triangle (?). Can they make it ?? 👀 I 💖 Momo... I also love her previous series “ Charming Junkie” 👫👗👠📸
33. Buddha - Osamu Tezuka. Read Astro boy? Black Jack? Now this is your next one to go. Life changing manga. Ground breaking visual dynamism. Manga godfather portrays birth to dead of Siddartha, Gautama, Buddha. Visually and verbally story is filled with anachronism. Worth read.
32. Skip to Loafer - Misaki Takamatsu. One of the best slice of life manga I have read this year. Won 3rd place in 2020 Manga Taisho Award🏆Story about smart country girl meeting new friends in Tokyo. With her pureness, unconsciously she makes her surroundings happy☺️I 💖Sosuke…
