Toriyama employs aerial perspective constantly in B&W panels too. The further the objects are, the less detailed and more dotted the linework becomes. It gives the overall composition more depth and makes it easier for readers to understand what's happening in the panel.
Another obvious instance here. The third panel is totally unnecessary, and because of its existence, the first horizontal panel row is awkwardly contracted which totally botches the impact of the explosion in the first panel. It works better without the third panel.

@Ojeid_99 @SaiyanXQ But I also suspect he was influenced by Kishimoto’s style in Naruto. It first started from a typical shonen manga style in the beginning of the serialization, but it gradually shifted towards the storyboarding method to the point where it almost feels like it’s anime screenshots.
