J-FRIENDS was a special J-pop unit formed to raise money for schools affected by the Great Hanshin Earthquake of 95. It composed of popular Johnny's groups such as TOKIO, V6, and KinKi Kids.

Kotaro Minami (played by Tetsuo Kurata) is Kamen Rider Black (+ Black RX.) Kyoya Nanami is from parody J-pop group, Black Biscuits with comedy partner, Amano Hiroyuki, and future Taiwanese star Vivian Hsu. Made to rival fellow parody band, Pocket Biscuits.

B'z is a hit J-Rock band with classics like Love Phantom, Ultra Soul, Samayoeru Aoi Dangan, and many others. Takeshi Kaneshiro and Fukakyon (Kyoko Fukad) were the stars of the drama Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, which is being referenced here.

Undead Unluck Ch 220: The final line of the chapter is actually a callback to the first chapter's アオリ (marketing text) and the tagline for the back waist slip of Vol. 1 in Japanese.

An all-in-all pro, @kaitou_ace does absolutely fantastic work and it was a real honor to work together on Helck. We're also working on Rainbows After Storms and it's been a real blast so far, so I hope we get to work together even more in the future!!

I've only worked with @matchafinn for a short while, but he's always busting his rear and a natural bundle of positivity that it's infectious. On Do Retry, MamaYuyu, Kyokuto Necromance, and Yokai Buster Murakami, he gives his 110% and it shows.

I'm so glad to have met @kyla_aiko through Super Smartphone because I got to see her develop as a letterer on the fly in the manga we've worked on, like Super Smartphone and Gokurakugai. An incredibly kind person, awesome, and always brightens my day.

Although semi-retired, @salinsley is probably one of the best around and she's always so ready to help her fellow letterers and spread awareness of what the job entails. I only really got to work with her firsthand on i tell c, but I cherished every moment!
