Undead Unluck 223: ジ ハート (jihaato/The Heart) is furigana for 心臓 (shinzou/heart.) 私のジ ハート doesn't sound right in English ("my The Heart,") so by splitting the 2nd and 3rd balloon into standalone words ("my heart, The Heart") you get a more natural fit in EN.
Syd Craft Ch 1: I almost forgot about this one. 脳内劇場 is nounai gekijou or "mental/inside of brain theater." Seemed too good not to add the "piece" as a play on "masterpiece" here.
is subtly and subliminally implied, the base quote in EN is a much more direct piece of foreshadowing (?) in this case. This might've been a case of sensei knowing the EN, using the JP TL, and leaving it to readers to realize that it's foreshadowing for the events to come.
we decided to keep the spellings as-is and use any moment later on to expand upon the meanings for the audience. ("Kingdom of Hi, the domain of fire" or something like that.) The 1st episode already packed in so much lore, this felt like the right decision.
Undead Unluck Ch 227 Gina uses homonyms for "fuhen" which means 普遍 (universal/ubiquitous) and 不変 (unchanging/never changing) but since no such words exist in English, the sentences have a rhyme instead.
Been sidelined with the vaccine woes, but I hope you're all enjoying Undead Ch 226! Read it on the SJ app or site and enjoy!

Hi, That Annoying Manga Translation Guy here. If you or anyone else you know has bought Destroy All Humans, feel free to snap a pic of it and tag me. I will RT the everloving crap out of you 👀
too many to list but Brandon, Michelle, Kyla, and Finn are masters of their craft. @brandonbovia @kyla_aiko @matchafinn https://t.co/g158znNcET
Each card in the series has been painstakingly replaced along with the usual full retouch on SFX. I personally spot checked every card myself for period accuracy to ensure the right card was slotted in. Intense work all around but the end result looks fantastic!
It's incredible how 1:1 the lines in the anime (the EN dub and the EN sub) are to the manga. Everyone worked really hard. 🥹 https://t.co/eIKxuBp3fr
I considered transplanting it over wholesale, but I decided that it would benefit the reading experience more and tie into Andy's dialogue of "self-imposed challenges" (縛りプレイ/shibari play) and describing points like he would stages in a video game. (A common Andy theme.)
While speedrunners use RTA as a classification, in JP this is more used as an identifier of speedrunning itself, so for the sake of clarity and to benefit clearer dialogue to what is supposed to be a commonly identified piece of gaming vernacular, it's "Speedrun" in EN!
