Undead Unluck 83: Spring's distinctive speech pattern of 5-7-5 mora is back again. It's ALL OVER the chapter, so I suggest you read yourself. Example for the uninitiated: 単騎とな　それは勇気か　愚かさか (tanki to na, sore wa yuuki ka, orokasa ka) = 5-7-5

Undead 143: The people affected by Nico's memory wiper see Fuuko as a guy (rules of boxing prohibits intergender matches) while Void doesn't bc Fuuko wanted to be totally honest with him.

Kaiju No. 8 Ch 18 Replicating the energy of a page is important. Kafka is beside himself, vivid brush strokes rise from him like flames, steam billows from his misshapen mouth, inciting terror. So, "You've repeatedly shot these things into their bodies?" is just... too meh, lol.

doing extra work on Destroy All Humans. They Can't Be Regenerated. gets me so stoked to see it released. I love it when a series is tailor-made for my niche weird talents.

Undead Ch 63: Sometimes I have to retool a sentence to fit in the title drop into the right(ish) bubble. I constructed a sentence around the title in order to get it in the last panel. It may have ultimately flipped bubbles (2nd instead of 1st,) but I think it works well.

As an aside, the reason I went for this word choice was because the Kaijuman will say things in katakana with a sort of "unfamiliarity" or "brokenness," so by having him say a stiffer phrase for "通信" (tsuushin) I hoped to emulate that. My proudest moment is giving Ryo's little aside joke here a tad more context while retaining the source. "顔が「ひでぶ」になったァ"/kao ga hidebu ni natta-a = "my face has gone 'hidebu'!" [death cry of Mr. Heart/other random grunts in Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star.]

Undead Unluck Ch. 47 You might've noticed the magazine was in English. For Undead, the rule is that there are minimal redraws bc of the whole language unification aspect, but this week's flashback had a few spots where it was unavoidable. Hopefully it didn't break immersion 🙇‍♂️
