Which came in handy, bc Fuuko says it won't interrupt her friend's 青春 (seishun/youth.) Colour takes the 青 (ao) from there and says it'll make his "youth" run red. In order to invoke similar romanticized/optimistic vibes, I opted for "blue skies of youth." 2/2

A sort of holdover from Matsumoto-sensei's previous work, Pochikuro, is Kikoru's butler, Sebas. (瀬羽須 in Kaiju No. 8. Full name in PochiKuro was セバスニャン/Sebasnyan.) "Sebas" comes from Sebastian, which is the manga/anime equiv to "Jeeves" for butler names. (1/2)
If we look at the first 3 panels in JP, it's pretty clear who is speaking here. Elysia has been scared up to this point so the first interjection is her, followed by Corleo. Panel 2: Corleo, Monika. 3: Elysia, Corleo. Their speaking styles are very distinct.

Kaiju No. 8 109: ぼくの考えた最強の～(boku no kangaeta saikyo no~/the strongest ~ i've come up with) is a phrase that makes fun of childlike ridiculous delusions. Originates from Kinnikuman's chojin submission corners, where many kids would include the phrase in their letters.

It's also probably uncommon, but I also tag all my SFX with a description that details: 1. What it is. 2. Its context in the panel. Leads to me leaving some funny notes for my editors lol.

アイテルシー4話、「冬のソナタ」から派生したパロディとして「冬の其方」という相生の推しドラマだけれど英語だと"Sonota"を基に"Sonotta"(So, not a/で、〇〇じゃないですか)と表現し、"So, notta fan of abiding the law, are you?" (で、犯罪をしたのは其方じゃないですか）という事になりました
Also, Japanese wagyu tends to go by yield ratings of A to C and quality ratings ranging from 1 to 5. Essentially, the higher of both yield and quality, the better the marbling of the beef and tenderness. A6 is, as the story shows, an impossible grade of beef, lol.

Victor calls Fuuko 狸顔 (tanukigao) which likens someones face to a tanuki/raccoon dog (round eyes and face, huge pupils, etc) There's also キツネ顔 (kitsunegao/fox face) which refers to sharper eyes, smaller mouth etc. The insult nuance carries over in EN so in it stayed. (2/2)
