Undead 72: A little one panel joke that hinged on the furigana: 不運は殺されない (fuun wa korosarenai/Unluck [i.e. "I"] won't be killed [here]) with furi 不死 (不運は不死/fuun wa fushi. Elaborating with a compromise of both readings is essential to get the point across.

Kaiju No. 8 Ch 24: It was important to have "leader" in the last panel here. Although the Japanese sentence structure when translated into English would see the subject ("leader") at the start, it loses the gravitas of the reveal, so I had to rework it to retain all elements. 1/5

アンデラ46話、『魂(soul)』は英語版でも最後にあったらグッと来るだろうというイメージで、それを目標に長い日本語の文を二つにわけて、分けても違和感なく読み取れるようにしたり、前後の文の統一感重視で自然な流れを作ったりとか色んな事を考えながらの翻訳でした。まぁ結果オーライって感じかなw

怪獣8号24話、英語版では最後のフキダシに「リーダー」を入れて原作と同じようなペースでリーダーの怪獣のことを知ってもらうようにしておいたけど、直訳だと主語である「リーダー」は文の頭の辺りに置いてしまうせいで、ここで足りない情報を単語で補ったり色んな事を考えたり、アレンジしました。

Kaiju No. 8 Ch 27 Just a quick bit of trivia, but this officer's name is Takao (高雄) which is the surname of Saito Takao, the manga-ka behind Golgo 13, hence his appearance and being on sniping duty.

Kaiju No. 8 Ch 37: Since this marks a turning point for Kikoru where she DOESN'T call Kafka by his full name, I opted out of "idiot" for バカ. While I couldn't mimic バカカフカ (Baka Kafuka), I tried both "buffoon" and "clod" to mimic the respective sounds. Clod made the cut :)

Undead Ch 35. This little exchange between Andy and Shen made me laugh. The Kinto'un depending on the work has two diff conditions for being ridden: "Being a 仙人(sage/hermit)" (Journey to the West) or "being pure of heart" (Dragon Ball.) Maybe it's the latter? 😂

怪獣8号22話、@kusanosaprooのSDキャラが乗ってるケーキの文字、"退院祝"は英語で"Congratulations on being released from the hospital"だけど余計に長くスペースを取ってしまうので伊春とレノの名前の位置も考えながら"Welcome back"と簡略化するチョイスをしました。綺麗に入れましたね！#怪獣8号

風子の台詞「来るよ(私の)不運が」英語版だと1話1話同じ訳を使用しては不自然だなぎこちないなという印象が必ず出てしまうので毎回毎回シーンの流れとかテンポ・緩急に合わせて倒置の強調をキープしたままの訳を利用する事でもっと自然に聞こえるような形で特色を表現できるかなというチョイスをします

なお、不運と不運(アンラック)または不運が入っている台詞をunluckで訳したらスムーズに読めないようなシーンの場合は、それに対して別の言葉が利用できる余裕があり、何度も同じ言葉を繰り返さないためにも『不運』に関連する同義語(misfortuneなど)を使っていくということになります。
